(x) Mercia, Coenwulf (796-821), Penny, 1.286g, 6h, large portrait type (c.810-822/23), Canterbury, Swefherd, + coenvvlf rex m, legend begins at 7 o'clock, diademed and draped bust right breaking solid inner circle, rev. + svvefherd moneta around solid inner circle containing cross fourchée with pellet in each angle (Naismith C43c this coin; N.353; S.916), some dark colour on the obverse, even tone on the reverse, good very fine, very rare.
