(x) East Anglia, Eadwald (c.796-c.798), Penny, 1.17g, 12h, Circumscription type, Eadnoth, + e.a.d.a.adre around small plain cross, trefoils of pellets in angles, rev. e / ad / n / od, retrograde N and lozenge o, in angles of beaded cross within quatrefoil (cf. Naismith E2.2 this coin not listed but same dies as 2.2b; N.-, but see 432 for reverse; S.947A), buckled and straightened, slightly ragged edge, very fine, extremely rare.
