CHINA. Zhou Dynasty, ca. 1046-256 B.C. Warring States Period, ca. 475-221 B.C. Bronze Knife Money, ND (ca. 400-220 B.C.).
cf.H-4.40 (for type). 20 pieces in lot. A variety of reverse inscriptions, nearly all angled blade type. Most have a small tag with collector's notes. A great way to expand an ancient Chinese collection. Most display a lovely apple green patina. Some encrustation or earthen deposits likely, as anticipated. One is broken and one has an old inventory number written on it, otherwise a wholesome gathering. Some examination is encouraged and will reward the diligent bidder. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. Average condition VERY FINE.

From the Q. David Bowers Collection.

Estimate: $500.00- $1000.00
