CL-AH.39; KM-W46; CCC-77; W-46 (N-10); Duan-0694. VERY RARE. Woodward (p. 17) notes, "These pieces were struck to serve as a mark of reward to Imperial troops of this province for faithful and or meritorious service." We are unaware of any recent offerings of this type, but an example without the legend "TEN CASH" and the six stars, appeared in Heritage sale 3016 (New York January 2012, lot 23617). See the CCC-76 we are offering in this sale. Appealing light brown toning in the fields and amongst the devices complemented by warm caramel atop of the devices.
