CHINA. Hunan. 10 Cash, ND (1902-06). PCGS EF-45 Secure Holder.
cf.CL-HUN.13(for basic type); cf.CCC-136(for basic type); cf.Duan-0726(for basic type). Uniface mint error with only the obverse visible. Obviously, without the reverse we cannot attribute the exact variety this was intended to be, but most closely resembles the above cited examples. An interesting error which can be easily explained as two planchets being fed in at the same time and then struck. Theoretically the counterpart to this example could still exist where the reverse was only struck. Moderate circulation consistent for the grade with lovely mahogany patina throughout. Very interesting and sure to add depth to the next collection that it enters. PCGS EF-45 Secure Holder.
