CHINA. Hunan. 10 Cash, ND (1912). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details Secure Holder.
cf.CL-HUN.53; cf.Y-399; cf.CCC-164; cf.Duan-0820; cf.W-354 (V-24). Raised ball on obverse; missing rosette on reverse. Upon further inspection under high magnification using a microscope there does not appear to be any evidence of a rosette on the reverse. The "A" in "HU - NAN" is missing. The missing rosette along with other aspects of the design features could be the result of die filling. Cleaned long ago now toned. Minor deposits scattered throughout. Overall a pleasant example despite the noted defect. Interesting and deserving of further research. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details Secure Holder.
