CHINA. Kiangsu. 10 Cash Mule, ND (circa 1906). PCGS VF-25 BN Secure Holder.
CL-KS.67; W865 (12-13); Duan-1718; cf.CCC-255 and 257 (obverses only); Y-10n (for basic type). EXTREMELY RARE as noted in Woodward. Another almost identical mule is mentioned for Kiangnan (CL-KN.88, W776), distinguishable only by the arrangement of the clouds around the dragons. Moderate wear consistent for the grade with no major marks to speak of. Lovely smooth glossy surfaces with attractive mahogany and mocha patina.
