CHINA. Szechuan. Pattern 10 Cents (Fen), ND (ca. 1912). PCGS SP-64 BN Secure Holder.
KM-Pn26. VERY RARE. Plain edge. Quadrilobe with "Chuan" within circle at center; Reverse: Decorative wreath with denomination at center "Shi Fen" (Ten Fen(Cents)). The Krause book dates these pieces to 1912 though this is highly unlikely and purely speculative. The central obverse design features closely resemble the 50, 100 and 200 cash issued in 1926. Very interesting and deserving of further in depth research. Sharply struck with lovely mahogany patina in the open fields with a nice coffee color atop of the devices. PCGS SP-64 BN Secure Holder.
From the Q. David Bowers Collection.
