L&M-640A; C-72.2; W-S0208. Border of 36 dots. Struck briefly after the emperor abdicated the throne to his son February 9th, 1796 but before the news arrived in Tibet. VERY RARE and historically interesting. Second finest certified at PCGS with only a single AU58 being finer. Our first offering of this date since April 2012 (Ponterio sale 165, Hong Kong, Lot #21746). Good strike, toned and quite attractive. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder.
