BURMA. Four Piece High Grade Variety Set of Pe, CS 1214 (1852).
KM-6.1/6.4; Robinson & Shaw-11.7A1b, 11.7A1d, cf.11.7B1a, 11.7B3. The varieties are as follows 11.7A1b has ground close to toothed border; Reverse: Missing accent above first character "C" in denomination. 11.7A1d has ground close to toothed border; Reverse: Modified word in denomination "cq" and missing ":" after, short "J" in second line. The one that is similar to 11.7B1a, SCARCE, ground away from toothed border; Reverse: Centering dot which is not mentioned in Robinson and Shaw as well the bottom dot of ":" is in the shape of a crescent. 11.7B3, VERY RARE, ground away from toothed border; Reverse: Missing the character "J" in second line of denomination. Mostly well struck and lustrous. All with lovely light old envelope tone displaying light multi-color hues. An interesting high grade matching set. All are graded by PCGS either MS-63 or MS-64. PCGS MS-63 (1) & MS-64 (3) Secure Holders.
