SINGAPORE. Board of Commissioners of Currency. 10,000 Dollars, 1980. P-17s. Specimen. Choice Uncirculated.
Specimen. A very special offering, and the first we have seen with this type of presentation. This 10,000 Dollar note from the popular Bird Series of Singapore comes with a red velvet presentation box. Upon opening the box, the note is encapsulated in a heavy sealed holder with an inscription on the bottom that reads: "Presented to Mr Andrew Tan for his immense contributions as a Judge for the proposed BCCS Building Design Competition held in February 1998." This piece is presented by the Board of Commissioners of Currency.
A punch cancellation is found in the watermark, and in the signature panel. A vignette of the White Bellied Sea Eagle is seen at left. Specimen Number 86. A lovely guilloche design found throughout with vibrant colors present.
Choice Uncirculated.
