George III (1760-1820), Proof Halfcrown, 1817, first laureate head right, rev. crowned shield in Garter, edge milled (ESC 2093 (R2) {617}; S.3788), light hairlines in fields, otherwise brilliant with light tone, more deeply so in recesses, extremely fine thus, rare.
