George III (1760-1820), Pattern Sixpence, 1787, by L. Pingo, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. shields cruciform, crowns in angles, semée of hearts in third quarter, border of dots both sides, edge plain (ESC 2212 {1640}; cf. S.3748), light cabinet friction to high points and occasional nailmarks in fields, otherwise an attractive tone over brilliant surfaces, good extremely fine thus, rare with only 168 struck.
