Parthian Kingdom. Phraates III. 70/69-58/7 B.C. AR drachm (21 mm, 3.84 g, 12 h). Court mint at Mithradatkart(?) or at Nisa(?). Diademed and draped bust of Phraates III left / Archer seated right, holding bow; below bow, monogram. Cf. Sellwood 36.13 (legend iii) and 36.15 (legend iv); Shore -. Unrecorded legend for this mintmark. Lightly toned with much luster present. Extremely fine.

This coin employs Sellwood legend ii, but the mint monogram is only noted on coins with legends iii (Mithradatkart) and iv (Nisa).
