Marcus Aurelius. As Caesar, A.D. 139-161. Æ sestertius (31 mm, 22.37 g, 12 h). Rome, under Antoninus Pius, A.D. 153/4. [AVREL]IVS CAESAR AVG PII FIL, Bare-headed and draped bust of Marcus Aurelius right / TR POT VIII COS II. S C in exergue, Minerva seated right, holding inverted spear and resting hand on shield at side. RIC 1315; BMC 1959. Brown and green patina with some light sandy deposits. Very fine.
