Probus. A.D. 276-282. Æ antoninianus (23 mm, 3.52 g, 6 h). Equiti series. Ticinum, A.D. 281. VIRTVS PROBI INVICT-I AVG, radiate, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Probus left, holding spear over far shoulder and shield on arm / SALVS AVG, Salus standing facing, head right, feeding from basket serpent held in arms; V//TXX[I]. RIC 501. Nice golden-toned brown patina, spot of hard green encrustation on obverse, corrosion spot on lower reverse. Good very fine.
