Ionia or Syria, Conventus of Cyzicus or Seleucis and Pieria. Ephesus/Atratinus or Antiochia ad Orontem . Augustus. 27 B.C. - A.D. 14 AE 24 as (24.03 mm, 8.51 g, 1 h). struck ca. 25 B.C. or later CAE[SAR], title upward to left of bare head of Augustus right within dotted border / AVGVSTVS, name in laurel-wreath of eight leaves; all within line border (no inner border to wreath). RPC 2235 (Ephesus); RPC 4100 (Antioch). VF, dark green patina with lighter deposits in lower areas.

RPC I is divided on whether the AVGVSTVS asses are from Ephesus or Antioch - RPC even hints at Cyprus, but we did not want to overly confuse the issue. The descriptions, style and even metrology of specimens listed in RPC are indistinguishable from one another
