Hadrian. A.D. 117-138. AR denarius (19.38 mm, 3.31 g, 5 h). Rome mint, struck A.D. 127. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, laureate bust of Hadrian right, slight drapery on far shoulder / COS III, Genius standing facing, head left, sacrificing over a small, lighted altar and holding cornucopiae (and olive-branch?). RIC 173; RSC 335. Good VF, Excellent style with good detail obverse and reverse; lightly toned, not overcleaned - flan is a little ragged - presumably showing the remains of a flan-casting pontil - at 9:00 with one small crack.
