MAXIMVS CAES GERM, bare-headed and draped bust of Maximus right, seen from behind / PRINC IVV-EN-TVTIS, Maximus as the Prince of Youth in military garb standing facing, head left, holding rod and spear; behind him on right, two standards. RIC 3; RSC 10. Near EF / VF, wonderfully detailed and sensitive portrait, light original toning, flan rim somewhat ragged with several splits; reverse somewhat weakly struck in middle.
