Ionia, Kolophon. civic issue. ca. 50-30 B.C. AE 19 (19.35 mm, 5.76 g, 1 h). Magistrate: Pythios. ΠΥΘΕΟΣ, magistrate's name vertically downwards to left of Homer seated left / ΚΟΛΟΦΩΝΙ[Α?], ethnic vertically downwards to left of Apollo Musagetes walking right holding kithara and plectrum. SNG Cop. 186-187; SNG von Aul. 2017; Milne, Colophon 179; BMC 41, 43. VF, surfaces somewhat rough, dark green patina with tan deposits in recesses, mainly on reverse.
