(The coin is made of a copper-nickel composition testing at about 75% copper and about 24% nickel. Unrecorded, possibly unique, as the only proofs known are silver pieces. Obverse, portrait of President Macham right. REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES. Reverse, coco de mer palm INDEPENDENCE 1976 and 5 RUPEES. Seems a little thicker than the currency issue.
