Nineteenth Century tokens, Silver Issues, Hampshire, County (5): anonymous shillings, 1811, County arms, rev. sloop (4 – D.2/6, and varieties not in Dalton: obv. 2 with rev. 4 and obv. 6 with rev. 4); anonymous sixpence, similar to shillings (D.7), D.6 and variety fine to good fine, lightly scratched on obverses, D.2 variety extremely fine, D.2 and 7 about mint state, latter with central weakness either side, D.6 rare, the varieties very rare (5)
Although the two varieties were not recorded by Mays (though his 4 Bis may have been an erroneous description of one of them), they had both been noticed by the 1940s; cf. Noble Collection, Part 1, 7-8 July 1998, lots 1672-3.
