c. 465-450 BC. Tetradrachm, 17.22g (11h). Obv: Charioteer in quadriga (only two horses are shown) moving slowly left; behind, column, probably marking the turning point of the race; in exergue, sea monster left. Rx: Forepart of bearded man-headed bull right, the line of the truncation dotted; to right, CΕΛΑΣ retrograde. Jenkins 220 (O58/R118). SNG ANS 49 (same dies). NGC 4625018-016. Ex Berk 153, 13 March 2007, lot 100. Man-headed bull exceptionally well struck. Obverse struck with a partially worn die. EF.
