Banco de España, 100 Pesetas, Madrid, 1st July 1876, "Lope de Vega", black on multicolour underprint, Spanish Golden Age poet Lope de Vega at left, woman with children at centre representing Spain taking care of its people like her children, woman seated at right representing the goddess of Agriculture, reverse, dark brown, girl at centre representing the Spanish Colonies, ships at sea at left and right represents the modernisation of transport at the time and the union of continents by sea, printed by American Banknote Company with the advance printing techniques,(Pick 11), in PMG holder 35 choice very fine, minor repairs, blue stamp at reverse at right, exceptionally rare especially in such condition, only five copies are known within Spain in which two inferior quality notes have been auctioned at high prices and the other three are known to be in the Private Collection of the Bank of Spain.
