Trio of Louis XV 2 Sols (Sous Marqués),
1) 1739-T VF, Nantes mint, KM500.20, Vlack-185. Medium gray with a bit of porosity and a small dent on the rev. Interesting filled 7 and 9 in the date and a large internal cud at the right center. Ex. John Ford collection (Stack's Ford XII, Jan. 2006, lot 219).
2) 1740-T XF, Nantes mint, KM500.2, Vlack-187. Medium gray with some porosity. Ex. Robert Vlack collection (Stack's Vlack, Jan. 2008, lot 5178).
3) 1740-V XF, Troyes mint, KM500.21, Vlack-194. Somewhat rough with an edge flaw. The color is a somewhat unnatural dull silver, suggesting an old cleaning.
