Pair of Louis XV 2 Sols (Sous Marqués),
1) 1754-A XF40 NGC, Paris Mint, KM500.1, Vlack-34, R7. Vlack observes that on the pieces he has seen, the stop after LUD is weak or missing. On the present example it is strong. Medium gray. Flan flaw at the upper left and the reverse is more weakly-struck and duller than the obverse.
2) 1742-H Unc., Contemporary Counterfeit, Vlack 359. Purported La Rochelle mint. Bluish hue, a few small areas of verdigris.
