Louis XV. Pair of Franco-American Jetons,
1) 1756, VF30 NGC, Br-517, Lecompte-167, silver, lightly reeded edge, coinage alignment, 28.3 mm, 5.78 gm. Short bust in civil garb., flat sleeve at bottom, no signature (Raymond Obv. A) / Bees swarming across ocean, from one hive to another, date below. Minimal marks for the grade assigned, but the obverse has some unevenness of color (blotches of light and dark gray). The reverse is attractively medium gray and blue.
2) 1758, AU, Br-519, Lecompte-179, copper, plain, beveled edge, coinage alignment, 29.5 mm, 8.89 gm. Bust, laureate, in cuirass with necktie & Order band diagonally across chest, 3 fleurs-des-lis above Order band in front, D.V. (for Jean Duvivier) below; raised circle between legend and denticles (Raymond Obv. I) / Flock of eagles flying over sea toward shore on left, view of city in background, date below. Evenly-toned, but the rev. has some shallow scratches among the eagles.
