France
Louis XV silver Franco-American Jeton 1757, Br-518 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, Lecompte-173, reeded edge, coinage alignment, 28.8 mm, 7.18 gm. Laureate bust right, draped, secured with brooch, R. FIL. (for Röettiers FILLIUS) (Raymond Obv. UL-2) / Mars, armed with uplifted spear and French shield, and Neptune with trident, advance to left on shell. The Details designation seems harsh. The obverse seems to have been dipped, but the white center and bluish periphery is by no means unpleasant. The reverse is more deeply toned and don't seem to have been dipped. Overall, a very attractive example.
