Lower Canada. Specimen J. SHAW 1/2 Penny Token ND, Br-565 PR65 Brown NGC, LC-19A2. Slightly weak W in HARDWARE. Iridescent surfaces, with orange at the peripheries.
To describe the two varieties of Breton 565 as weak vs. full W is somewhat misleading. The W is weaker than the other letters in both cases; the weak W is barely readable and the full W is easily readable.
