British Settlement Kentucky / Copper Company of Upper Canada Mule 1796, Copper PR61 Brown NGC, Br-722. Mule: obverse of the British Settlement Kentucky (Myddelton) token and original reverse (round Os) for the Copper Co. of Upper Canada token. Though designated as a proof by NGC, the present example displays surfaces much more reminiscent of a business strike. Somewhat uneven toning, with red in the centers, giving way to darker brown at the edges. Fewer than 25 examples of the mule are thought to have survived.
