MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Perseus (179-168 BC). AR tetradrachm (29mm, 15.45 gm, 11h). NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5. Reduced standard, Pella or Amphipolis, ca. 171-168 BC. Diademed head of Perseus right / ΒΑΣΙ-ΛΕΩΣ ΠΕP-ΣΕΩΣ, eagle standing right on thunderbolt, wings spread; monograms above, to right, and between legs below; all within oak wreath; plow right below. Mamroth 22. SNG Alpha Bank 1133. Well centered on a broad flan, deeply struck, and lightly toned.
