ACHAEMENID PERSIA. Time of Xerxes II-Artaxerxes II (ca. 420-375 BC). AV daric (15mm, 8.36 gm). NGC MS★ 5/5 - 5/5. Persian king or hero in kneeling-running position right, wearing kidaris (crown) with four points and kandys (royal robe), holding transverse spear with round rear terminal in right hand and bow in left; quiver over shoulder / Rectangular incuse punch with rough interior surface. Carradice Type IIIb B. An exceptional specimen of this important early imperial coinage, nicely centered on a round flan and fully lustrous.
