Leopold I Taler 1682 I-R AU Details (Edge Filing) NGC, St. Veit mint, KM1321, Dav-3237. An exceptionally rare taler of the 'Hogmouth, ' this broad piece, though exhibiting some edge filing as noted by the details designation, nevertheless features lightly toned surfaces and an underlying luster. The only other example which this cataloger could locate sold in 2010 for a hammer of €11,000 (over $13,500 at the time), though it was misdescribed as Dav-3236.
