Republic gold 10000 Reis 1911 MS62 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM496, Fr-125, LMB-O704. One of the lowest mintages within the series, with a reported output of only 137 pieces, this near-choice example exceeds the specimen which we offered in 2014 (an NGC MS61), which realized a hammer of $9,000. Highly lustrous and with a minimum of light marks, just one has been graded finer by NGC (an MS63). Worthy of intense consideration.
