Elizabeth II "Strap - Far Leaf" 5 Cents 1953 MS65 PCGS, Ottawa mint, KM50. The second rare variety for this date, featuring a strap on Elizabeth's shoulder and a far leaf on the reverse. A superlative gem in every way, with abounding luster and brilliantly impeccable surfaces. The finest of the type which we have offered, the previous being a PCGS MS64, which realized a hammer of $1,900 in our 2018 NYINC auction (sale 3061, lot 30149). The present specimen clearly supplants the aforementioned piece in terms of quality and desirability, and will generate a good deal of interest from potential bidders.
