Nueva Granada 10 Reales 1847 MS64+ NGC, Popayan mint, KM107. An enchantingly toned piece, with hints of russet gold scattered throughout and an alluring underlying luster radiating from every angle. Some central striking weakness is noted, but it is wholly consistent with the type and in no way detracting. A true near-gem example, and one which clearly surpasses the Lissner specimen, an NGS MS63 which realized a hammer of $4,000 in 2014.
