Cuba
Republic Star Peso 1916 MS64 PCGS, Philadelphia mint, KM15.2. The first true Cuban silver peso, this striking coin was designed by Charles E. Barber in 1915 to celebrate the newly-independent Cuba. Sharply struck even for the low-relief variety, silver-gold mica toning to the centers flares as it radiates outwards into a brilliant amber, all against a backdrop of dazzling cartwheel luster. Only one example is graded higher across NGC and PCGS, and one is hard put to believe its eye appeal can best that of this premium offering.
