Louis XVI gold Louis d'or 1790/89-T AU Details (Cleaning) PCGS, Nantes mint, KM591.14, Fr-474, Gad-361. Slightly brightened from past cleaning with some darker color around the reverse peripheries that is the result of imperfect planchet preparation. An extremely rare date, listed but unpriced in the Standard Catalog of World Coins and in Monnaies Royales Françaises by Victor Gadoury. This is the first example we have seen.
