Great Britain
Edward III (1327-1377) gold Noble 1356-61 AU58 NGC, London mint, Pre-Treaty Period, Cross 3 mm, S-1490, North-1180. Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship / Floriate cross with e in central quadrilobe. An attractive example of this type, with crisp and prominent detail to the king's portrait and his accoutrement along with the ship bearing him. The reverse also shows pleasing even detail, with a minute speckling indicative of a die just beginning to rust. An excellent specimen.
