George I gold Guinea 1726 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM559.1, S-3633. A startling sunset orange tone caresses the raised devices of George's portrait and elements of the legend, the remainder of the surfaces a deep gold and imbued with a misty luster. Certainly worthy of a high AU grade were it not for the 'Cleaned' certification, and what little evidence of cleaning this coin shows is clearly of great age and lightly done. A thoroughly satisfying and presentable example.
