George II silver Marriage Medal 1743 MS62 NGC, MI 581-219, Brockmann-982, Galster 389, Eimer-unlisted. Commemorating the union of Louisa, daughter of George II, to the future Frederik V of Denmark. Obv. Hymen and Abundantia flank shields of Britain, Denmark, and Luneburg. Rev. Small wreaths with names of illustrious ancestors surround those of the wedding couple. Gold and gray toning, with boldly defined details and minor marks in the obverse field. Housed in an NGC Jumbo holder. Very rare with a mintage of only 181 pieces in silver according to Galster.
