George III gold Guinea 1784 AU Details (Obverse Scratched) NGC, KM604, S-3728. The scratch referred to in the certification is at 5 o'clock on the obverse, in the field below George's chin. Fortuitously, however, it is not particularly obtrusive, and thus does not contribute significantly to the overall appearance of the coin. Beyond this detail this example is highly attractive, the uncirculated details starkly evident; gorgeous original luster is visible in the peripheries throughout the legend, imbued with a russet patina throughout.
