George III Counterstamped Bank Dollar ND (c. 1797) MS61 PCGS, KM638, ESC-129, S-3765A. Countermark (UNC Details) on a 1793 Mo-FM Mexican 8 Reales. Engrossing quality for the issue, struck over a sharp, wonderfully toned Mexican host that holds rich blends of copper-gold, green and blue iridescence around much of the raised design. The flat surfaces surrounding the George III bust in the counterstamp are also toned, and propel the eye-appeal for this type to unusual heights. No matter the grade, seldom found more pleasing.
