George III Crown 1819 MS63 NGC, Royal mint, KM675, S-3787. LIX edge. Pistrucci's master engraving is beautifully captured in this attractive and high-grade specimen, the iconic scene of St. George slaying the dragon sharply struck and illuminated by a lustrous outline, as is the surrounding garter belt. The fields meanwhile are reflective beneath deep toning, showing hints of gold when turned in the light. A desirable piece for the Crown collector.
