George IV Mint Error 'Broadstruck' Sixpence 1821 MS65 NGC, KM678, S-3813. 'Broadstruck' mint error, resulting from being struck without a collar. An attractive and somewhat prooflike example, steely argent surfaces alight with luster throughout the legend, iridescent gold patina playing across in the light. Ironically, the high eye appeal of this specimen owes itself to the error striking, as the missing collar allowed a far deeper strike and thus razor-sharp detail to the devices.
