Great Britain
William IV gold Coronation Medal 1831 UNC - Edge Smoothed, BHM-1475, Eimer-1251. By William Wyon. An enchanting example, William and Adelaide's portraits deeply frosted, the fields behind hairlined but flashy and a pleasant contrast to the matte devices. The original Royal Mint issue was of 1203 examples struck in gold, of which 238 were subsequently melted leaving 965 remaining. Rare thus, particularly in this appealing level of preservation.
