Great Britain
Edward VIII gold Coronation Medal 1937 UNC, 17.11g, W&E-6761, Eimer-2044. Proposed design by Turner & Simpson, deemed ineligible for encapsulation as a privately produced piece. A pleasant matte gold surface, this interesting medal depicts Britannia extending a laurel wreath over Westminster Abbey, and the crowned Edward VIII, the King who would not be on the throne for even a year. Some areas of discoloration, otherwise Mint State and an attractive piece.
