Extremely rare; no official medals were made for the coronation of Elizabeth II, leading to the private production of several varieties (consequently some grading companies refer to these medals as 'ineligible types', such as this example). Originally sold at £25/-/- (around £650 today), this handsome piece shows a beautiful contrast between flashy elements to the design and more frosted, cameo aspects.
