North Haiti. Henri Christophe silver Pattern 30 Sols 1808 MS62 NGC, Birmingham mint, KM-Pn8. By M. Boulton. Noted as the plate coin for the SCWC, this scarce issues features stunning prooflike surfaces over both sides of the argent, untoned planchet. Nearly choice, with the presence of a few, wispy hairlines that likely preclude a finer designation, but central detail that retains a bold crispness that usually seen at higher levels. Very likely one of the "proof" examples referenced by mint records, this denomination was struck by direct order of King Henri to match the standard of the English Shilling.
