Charles & Johanna "Late Series" 4 Reales ND (1542-57) Mo-O/L AU53 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM0018, Cal-88 (unlisted overassayer), Nesmith-110a. 31mm. Immensely desirable, not only because of the bold O/L over-assayer which is scarce in its only right, but for the quality of the surfaces, which display impressive originality, with rich tone that possesses great depth due to intermingled iridescent qualities. The flan is slightly out of round, which abbreviates a small portion of legends, but the crispness of the centers more than compensates for this minor imperfection. A great coin overall.
